Officials of Zhejiang province, East China, have unveiled a strategic action plan aimed at catapulting the integrated development of virtual reality (VR) and related industries. The plan sets a target of surpassing 100 billion yuan (S$20 billion) in the scale of VR and related sectors by 2027.
This initiative emerges as a cornerstone for driving high-quality development within Zhejiang’s digital economy, with a keen focus on fortifying the entire industrial chain’s supply capabilities and nurturing globally competitive enterprises.
Central to the plan is the propulsion of key core technologies, including real-time rendering, stereoscopic display, human-machine interaction, and high-performance computing, all geared toward attaining international standards.
