Speaking at the event, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau highlighted the need for automation and digitisation of traditionally manual operations, as the country country forges ahead to build a digital economy. Human resource management was cited as an example, where research-backed psychometric assessment could meet evolving industry needs.
MoU documents were exchanged between MIMOS and a number of collaborators in this field of technology. Thirteen MIMOS technology strategic partners were also recognised during the event. MIMOS’ psychometrics technology has been adopted by some 20 Malaysian organisations so far, including six ministries.

The system features feature-rich dashboards with interactive information for quick analysis. MIMOS Mi-Harmony tool enables MyHDW to deal with unstructured data. MyHDW can also be integrated with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to present analysed health statistics coordinated geographically, down to very specific locations. This would help in future planning of health statistics.
Security and privacy are governed by the Data and Information Governance Committee. Two-factor authentication and data de-identification are employed for added security.
Consortium for Integrated Circuit design
On May 2, MIMOS announced the formation of a consortium for Integrated Circuit (IC) Design, comprising six founding members representing a variety of expertise in IC Design.
The consortium will move to encourage more local IC Design organisations to join and take advantage of economies of scale in new business ventures, particularly in global Electrical and Electronics supply chain.
