The collaboration between the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Hong Kong (Civil Engineering, HKU) and a global player in the engineering software market has been formalised through a Partnership Agreement.
This strategic alliance aims to propel higher education to new heights by combining the academic prowess of one of HKU’s oldest and most esteemed departments, Civil Engineering, with the technological innovation brought forth by the company, an international engineering software corporation.

Currently boasting 30 teaching staff, approximately 402 undergraduate students, 539 postgraduate students, and a dedicated research team, the department offers versatile programs, including a fully accredited Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, along with postgraduate options such as Master of Science in Engineering (Civil Engineering), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The undergraduate program holds accreditation from The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and the master’s program is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators, UK. In addition, the department provides professional training courses for civil engineers and engineering graduates, reinforcing its commitment to holistic education.
