Analysing the data, a compelling reality emerges that 55% of Australia’s digital technology workforce thrives within these clusters, remarkably contributing to 62% of the nation’s cumulative growth. Beyond mere numbers, these clusters have become breeding grounds for inventive collaboration and knowledge exchange. The potency of this ecosystem is evident in the fact that companies nestled within clusters outperform their counterparts outside by a striking 63% in generating intellectual property patent applications.
Delving deeper, the study unearths the existence of four prominent super-clusters: the Sydney Arc, the Melbourne Diamond, the Brisbane Corridor, and the Canberra Triangle.
