He revealed that over 60 innovative health and hospital technologies developed by HKSTP’s park companies are currently implemented across all clusters of the Hospital Authority, contributing significantly to the advancement of smart hospital development.
These deployed solutions range from plug-and-play options to co-creation projects tailored to meet the specific preferences of individual users and enhance operational efficiency. HKSTP’s commitment to deepening engagement and serving as a close partner to the Hospital Authority through initiatives such as the technology immersion program for healthcare professionals and collaborative data efforts was emphasised.
From his perspective on the foundations of modern healthcare, he believes they should be built upon three pillars: the utilisation of new technology, patient empowerment, and data-driven approaches. He emphasised the importance of leveraging emerging technologies to enhance healthcare services. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of empowering patients to take an active role in managing their own health.
HKSTP pledges support to the Hospital Authority at every stage of hospital development, offering comprehensive assistance from planning to commissioning. With over 1,300 park companies under its umbrella, the corporation stands ready to provide comprehensive assistance, ranging from initial planning to the final commissioning phase. This commitment underscores HKSTP’s dedication to fostering collaboration and innovation in the healthcare sector.
The corporation’s active participation in the three BMT events serves as a strong testament to its support for the Primary Healthcare Blueprint established by the HKSAR Government. The blueprint aims to revolutionise the primary healthcare sector by leveraging technology and transitioning towards community-based health services.
At the Medical and Healthcare Fair, the HKSTP Pavilion highlighted the technological solutions of 24 Park companies, classified into four distinct categories: Medical Devices, Rehabilitation, Remote Monitoring & Care, and Screening & Diagnostics.
