The Bank Indonesia has started the S.I.A.P QRIS (Sehat, Inovatif, Aman, Pakai QRIS, or Healthy, Innovative, Safe, Use QRIS) and BI-FAST programmes to speed up digital payments across the country, especially in the Solo Raya area. S.I.A.P. QRIS is a programme that helps create safe and healthy shopping malls and markets where QRIS can be used. This helps the economic recovery of the whole country.
The launch was also the opening ceremony for the ADIPATI (Akselerasi DIgitalisasi PembayAran TerkIni) Festival, which is a strategic pre-event for the Solo Great Sale (SGS) that takes place every year.
Perry Warjiyo, the Governor of Bank Indonesia acknowledged how important it is to jumpstart economic growth through private spending by upper-middle-income earners. He added that one way to do this is through the SGS. Governor Perry said that QRIS and BI-FAST processes transact quickly, thus, MSMEs get their money right away and they can use it for business.
Cross-border QRIS is also already in use in Thailand, and it will be used in more ASEAN countries in the future. Fast, easy, cheap, safe, and reliable QRIS transactions will lead to more private spending, which is why SGS expects this year’s event to be even more successful than last year’s.
At the ADIPATI Festival, retailers from Solo Raya promised to use S.I.A.P. QRIS. This is part of an ongoing effort to digitalise the payment ecosystem using S.I.A.P. QRIS among MSMEs in Solo Raya and conventional markets, among others.
The release of the Porsebank sports week event organised by the Regional Banking Deliberative Assembly (BMPD) in Solo Raya, featuring a contingent of 37 banks in the Solo Raya region with 1,380 participations, boosted the inauguration of S.I.A.P QRIS among Solo Raya merchants.
The activity promotes the idea of digitalising payment systems through QRIS and BI-FAST. This is done through several features and attractions and it shows that the banking industry is behind public services that make digital payments easier and the success of SGS 2022.
Innovations like QRIS and BI-FAST can speed up the digitalisation of the region by making cashless transactions fast, easy, cheap, safe, reliable, and available 24/7. This will also improve the efficiency of transactions at SGS 2022.
From September 25 to October 30, 2022, SIAP QRIS retailers and the Porsebank are among the pre-events that led up to SGS 2022. This will leverage the optimal use of digital technology for transactions, including the Solo Sales Go 2.0 application, which is nearly ready for launch. SGS 2022 is expected to boost economic growth in the Solo Raya area, especially by speeding up the national economic recovery after the pandemic.
By making it easier for programmes to work together, the National Movement for Food Inflation Control (GNPIP) is helping to speed up programmes already in place to control food inflation in different parts of the country. Together with the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) in Solo Raya, GNPIP Solo Raya was a way for Bank Indonesia to show its commitment.
To support sustainable agroindustry, strengthening GNPIP Solo Raya gives priority to innovation in the form of digital farming and the development of modern farming. The idea of digital farming can make farms more productive, while modern farming focuses on automating the planting, harvesting, and post-harvesting processes to get the most out of their agricultural production.
