The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) is the lead agency on public data policy across the Australian Public Service, and on whole-of-government digital transformation policy. Helen Owens leads a team that is responsible for providing whole of government policy advice on the Australian Government’s public data strategy. Singapore CFE Sub-Committee on Future of Connectivity addresses how to strengthen network of connections globally
This past week the Sub-Committee on the Future of Connectivity, chaired by Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, and Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress, convened to discuss how Singapore can strengthen its extensive network of connections to create opportunities across the entire globe. During the recent EmTech Asia conference, OpenGov ran into Arnel Paciano Casanova, President and CEO, Bases Conversion and Development Authority, who works directly under the President. His organisation deals with the planning and construction of Clark Green City. “This is Clark Green City, previously an army camp, which will turn into a new business centre for the country,” said Mr. Casanova, “The entire city of Clark encompasses 65,000 hectares of land, roughly the size of Manila. The property that we are building upon is 35,000 hectares of land, half of the size of Manila.”
